Understanding Lens Tint Density
How you can help your patient understand what tint density they are looking for. The percentage correlates with the amount of light that the density the lens is blocking.Â
Transparent Clear filter, for greatly reduced solar radiation.
Light For reduce solar radiation. Used as comfort filter and cosmetic or fashion eyewear. Can be worn inside to slightly reduce brightness
Medium Strong Universal filter general use.
Strong High Solar Radiation for general use.
Very Dark For intense solar radiation (snow, sand, mountains, water, tropical areas).
